Capoterra Coastline Monitoring

The coast and river monitoring service for the municipality of Capoterra was provided using the automatic workflow of the Latitudo 40 proprietary platform.
The source images used for processing were acquired, using the archives of the Airbus Pleiades and SPOT and Planet Labs PlanetScope constellations.
For archive images, the search gave maximum priority to those in which the percentage of cloud cover in the area of interest is equal to 0 (zero) with a spatial resolution less than or equal to 3m.

The search of the archive catalogs was carried out with the aim of providing the shapefiles of the coastlines for:

Historical range 2016 – 2022: divided into 3 lines for the winter period (January – April) and 3 for the summer period (August – September) annual starting from 2022: divided into 3 lines for the winter period (January – April) and 3 for the summer one (August – September) of each year.
Furthermore, the choice of images was made on the basis of the reference times of the satellite images and the corresponding tide level.
