ARBOREA (Earth Observation Tool for Carbon Credit Evaluation with Artificial Intelligence) is a research and development project focused on creating an advanced digital platform for monitoring and evaluating carbon credits using Earth observation technologies and artificial intelligence. The initiative is part of the NODES ecosystem and aims to provide innovative tools for sustainable forest management and greenhouse gas emission reduction, supporting climate change mitigation strategies.

The project utilizes multispectral satellite data and predictive algorithms to monitor carbon accumulation in forests, detect changes in biomass, and estimate CO₂ sequestration capacity. By integrating high-resolution imagery with machine learning models, ARBOREA delivers precise analyses to support climate mitigation policies and sustainable management strategies.

Latitudo 40 develops and implements geospatial solutions for satellite data processing, combining multi-source observations and AI algorithms to generate detailed environmental indicators. Their work focuses on predictive modeling of forest cover evolution, assessing the effectiveness of conservation measures, and providing tools for the independent verification of carbon credits.

ARBOREA introduces a digital approach to emissions certification, ensuring objective and scalable measurements for public agencies, businesses, and environmental organizations. The use of satellite technologies reduces costs and uncertainties, offering a standardized methodology for managing and offsetting CO₂ emissions.
