ARBOREA (Earth Observation Tool for Carbon Credit Evaluation with Artificial Intelligence) is a research and development project focused on creating an advanced digital platform for monitoring and evaluating carbon credits using Earth observation technologies and artificial intelligence. The initiative is part of the NODES ecosystem and aims to provide innovative tools for sustainable forest management and greenhouse gas emission reduction, supporting climate change mitigation strategies.
The project utilizes multispectral satellite data and predictive algorithms to monitor carbon accumulation in forests, detect changes in biomass, and estimate CO₂ sequestration capacity.
